Dans le cadre de la Stratégie décennale de lutte contre les cancers 2021-2030, l'ITMO Cancer d'Aviesan publie le calendrier de ses appels à projets ou à candidatures pour l'année 2024, dont la gestion opérationnelle est confiée à l'Inserm.

Retrouvez ici, au fur et à mesure de leur parution, les objectifs et textes des appels à projets ou à candidatures.

Fort de l’accueil réservé à son bilan décennal 2011-2021, l’ITMO Cancer d’Aviesan renouvelle l’opération et synthétise dans ce document l’ensemble des actions qu’il a menées au cours de l’année 2022. Lecteurs et lectrices y découvriront les réalisations de l’ITMO Cancer dans le cadre de ses trois missions cardinales :

• la réflexion stratégique ;
• la programmation thématisée ;
• l’animation de la « communauté cancer ».

Bilan des actions 2022

Fin 2021, un séminaire de travail a réuni la direction de l’ITMO Cancer, son comité d’experts et d’expertes ainsi que le Pôle recherche et innovation de l’INCa avec les objectifs suivants :

• réaliser une revue critique des réflexions précédentes : Orientations stratégiques (décembre 2017) et Contribution de l'ITMO Cancer d'Aviesan à la Stratégie décennale (février 2019);
• mettre à jour et approfondir des thématiques insuffisamment couvertes alors ;
• identifier et documenter de nouveaux axes de recherche ayant émergé depuis.

Quatre thématiques ont été identifiées au cours de la réflexion, puis déclinées pour en dégager les axes de travail prioritaires :

• analyse spatiotemporelle dynamique des tumeurs ;
• nouveaux modèles et nouvelles technologies ;
• innovation thérapeutique et accès à l’innovation ;
• modélisation, données et intelligence artificielle.

Le document Enjeux à date de la recherche en cancérologie (2022) développe le rationnel scientifique de chacun des axes de travail prioritaires (voir le sommaire) et propose quelques leviers d’action, outils et moyens à mobiliser.

Enjeux à date de la recherche en cancérologie (2022)

Depuis 2019, la recherche sur les cancers de l'enfant, de l'adolescent et du jeune adulte bénéficie d'un soutien annuel supplémentaire. Une cellule de coordination, animée par la direction du pôle Recherche innovation de l'INCa et de l'ITMO Cancer d'Aviesan, a été chargée de définir de premières actions à mener :

• cartographier l’état de la recherche française en cancérologie pédiatrique ;
• organiser une série de séminaires interdisciplinaires ;
• financer le travail de jeunes chercheurs.

Dans ce contexte, l'ITMO Cancer d'Aviesan a réalisé, avec le pôle Recherche et innovation de l'INCa, un bilan bibliographique de la recherche française en oncopédiatrie au cours de la période 2015-2020. L’Institut de l’information scientifique et technique du CNRS (Inist-CNRS UAR76) a été sollicité pour la constitution du corpus bibliographique, par l’intermédiaire de l’Institut des sciences biologiques (INSB) du CNRS, membre de l’Alliance Aviesan.

L’Appel à projets générique de l'Agence nationale de la recherche mobilise cinq instruments de financement :

• de projets de recherche individuelle portés par des jeunes chercheurs ou des jeunes chercheuses (JCJC) ;

The European Association for Cancer Research and American Association for Cancer Research, in collaboration with the Irish Association for Cancer Research, organise a joint conference which will focus on bringing the latest discoveries from basic science to the clinic. L'appel à projets « Recherche en cancérologie pédiatrique : apports des approches interdisciplinaires » de l'Institut national du cancer a pour objectif de permettre le développement d’approches originales en associant obligatoirement et uniquement deux équipes disposant de compétences scientifiques différentes.
